Let us partake and feast...
This is great. I'm amped about Christmas. I know some of ya'll maybe veterans at this, but I am a rookie with fresh kicks and a clean jersey; and This is my first Turkey day on my own. Moreover, it's my first holiday season on my own. So add that together and couple it with the fact that I live in New York City, and you can imagine the size of the goosebumps I'm getting.
I spent the last hour going to taco bell, realizing I forgot my wallet at home, walk 30 minutes home, walking back to taco bell, scarffing down some grindache, and then walking to the grocery store to buy some Thanksgiving essentials. It was mayhem my friends. The grocery store was utter mayhem. Old ladies grouped with young women arguing with confused but pissed men was the scene. I entered as prepared as one could be. I knew the agenda. I had the list. It was go time. Now not knowing anything about turkeys could be a problem, when that is really the main staple of the holiday that your focus is set on. I didn't know what size to get, what brand is best, and truthfully how to differentiate a turkey from a chicken or even more tricky, the turkey breast(This is easily confused with a whole turkey, because of the same build and look as a whole turkey. Except for the dimentsions of the breast are much smaller than that of a whole bird).
In the end I found everything I needed. Throughout my excursion, I was so amazed to see how many scowling faces were around me. Eyes were so furiously searching for the best quality and best deal that the ideal that this whole holiday was set on was lost. I decided to engage these lovely folks in a game. I started seeing if I could "turn those frowns upside down." I just would say, "Have a happy holidays," to everybody and anybody. Now most of the time I got a confused, "you're a very odd individual.. and your facial hair is stupid," look. But I did get the genuine good tidings back every so often.
I love the holidays. I truthfully just love it. To all of you who I wish I desperately wish I could share this with, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a very happy holidays...
Be Relentless,
Peace
